When you enter the Edo-Tokyo Museum, you take a step back 400 years in time to see what life used to be like when Tokyo was known as ‘Edo’. With life-sized models of the Nihombashi Bridge, a playhouse from the Edo period, and small scale models from the Meiji period, you can see what life was like back then, how Japanese culture grew and flourished, and how Edo grew to become the city we know today.
