Shodoshima is about one hour by ferry from Takamatsu Port. It is called the Mediterranean of Japan as it is graced with a warm climate all year round. People are attracted to its beautiful scenic spots, such as “Angel Road”, a sand bar that appears at low tide, and “Kankakei Gorge”, which is considered one of the most spectacular gorges in Japan.
Traditional food culture continues to thrive in hand-stretched somen noodles and soy sauce making, which dates back 400 years.
