Kitashinchi is Osaka’s most popular nightlife district, where bright neon signs light up the narrow streets full of high-class bars, clubs, and tiny izakaya where Japanese businessmen entertain their clients. In the old days this area was an island between the Sonezaki and Dojima rivers, where geisha girls delighted their customers with classic performances, and that unique atmosphere still survives today.
