Built on the orders of Takeda Shingen himself, Kai Zenkōji Temple is home to the largest wooden structure in East Japan. This temple became a respository of sorts for the fabled warlord, who feared the loss of valuable treasures in his various battles. One such notable example is the statue of Amitabha Tathagata.
