This street in Kanazawa is filled with traditional buildings called “chaya” houses that are used for eating and entertainment with geisha. Here, you can still watch geisha performances live. The chaya houses you will find are over 200 years old with their original interiors along with ones that have been renewed into restaurants, teahouses, and souveneir shops. Travellers strolling through this street will get a unique Japanese historical experience.
